It's been a while so...

My week since last Tuesday:

7/7: I definitely went to Six Flags with some cool people... including Joseph and Hope. We also definitely played 30 questions and heard Michael Jackson all day so it was pretty sweet!

7/9: Gardening Galore. Hastas hastas hastas. Andrew Bird CD came in the mail FINALLY! YES!

7/10: More gardening. Then band practice. Then Christian and Ryan came over and we sat on my porch wearing ponchos in the rain whilst drinking tea.

7/11: Lexie's mom's wedding. Lots of Kenyans there. One looked like Kanye! Then to jradd's house for Rockband and Halo!

7/12: Shopped for things for Belize! Holy lots of things! I am barely bringing any clothes though. ha ha. I got a SHAM WOW! for Belize! Really pumped! NEXT SUNDAY! Thank you for the New Gold Tooth Adobe!

7/13: I went to many a places in search of a job. Too many applications! GAH! I also got an upgrade for my phone because my plan was up! YES! I got a Motorola Hint... I didn't think I would like it at first, but I really do now!

7/14: I definitely had a job interview at Wagg Inn Pet Hotel. Hopefully that went well enough that I get that job! Petting dogs all day would be freaking sweet! Also tonight going to see Harry Potter at 12:01 and NOT dressing up! Which leads to a Post Secret that I saw on Sunday... possibly one of my favorites. If you don't know what Post Secret is, go here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PostSecret

Relient K! Second time in 6 DAYS!

I saw Relient K AGAIN yesterday! ha ha! Skylar, Natalie and I went down to Summerfest just in time to see them! The set list was basically the same as in Green Bay except just shorter. They took out two of the three of their new upcoming songs out of the list and a few others. They ended with Deathbed again! ha ha! Some chick in front of us was pissed because it was so long. Most of the people watching Relient K were the kids waiting all day for Red Jumpsuit Apparatus to play after them. We got shoved in a corner sort of near the stage all the way to stage left. We could see half of the drum set, the bass and the piano, but that was about it.

After the show we followed the fence and Relient K's tour bus happened to be the one on the end where we wouldn't get in trouble for standing there and whatever holy freaking run on sentence! We were the only people standing back there which was pretty sweet. First Jon Schneck came out, like last time and since we were alone we got to talk with him for a good 10 or 15 minutes! We just kind of talked about life and how we saw them six days prior. We shook his hand and then he left. After 10 more mintues Matt Hoopes came out and none of us had met him yet. We talked with him for about 10 minutes too! He was really pumped about how many bike trails and bike lanes there were in Wisconsin! He also has friends that live in Cedarburg so maybe if I am ever down there when he is there we can go biking sometime! Alas that conversation ended and he left as well. We also saw the drummer (not sure of his name, he is newer to the band) and John the bassist but they were just passing by to go see some bands play! After seeing Matt Thiessen get in and out of the bus like 4 times, each time promising he would be back, he finally came back to talk with us! He actually came on the other side of the fence and we talked about the shows and the recording studio and stuff! He said that he liked the Green Bay show better by far! Which makes sense because a lot of the crowd wasn't really into it because they were there to see Red Jumpsuit Apparatus... which is a shame. He did remember us from the last show, which was pretty cool. I also got to show him my harmonica necklace this time and he liked it! He even asked what key it was in! ha ha! We recorded another chord and this time Matt dedicated it to Greg! However it is very hard to hear with the NOISE of Red Jumpsuit Apparatus behind us. I will try and enhance the audio in it a little so you can hear it better before I upload!

Holy Glass Bottle Music!

After my meeting for Belize I had some guys over! Namely, Skylar, Joey and Greg! We had fun!

video

On Thursday I got THREE shots! Tetanus, Meningitis and Hep A... The Hep one really feels weird still and my muscle keeps contracting randomly right in that spot... is that normal? :P

On a better note I went to go see Transformers 2 with Skylar and Joseph! Holy Action! Holy Plot Holes! I didn't see R2D2 either... he is supposed to be in the background during one of the crazy scenes, but everything was too distracting!

I just got back from Jesse's! We all fake-LANned some Halo 3! It was a good time as usual.

WOOP WOOP... [or should I say el woope el woope?]

I just had my final meeting with all of the kids going to Belize with me! 18 More days!

I am so pumped, I will be in the middle of the rain forest with all of the monkeys and iguanas and birds and trees! There will be tables and chairs AND SNACKS!

On another note! I have had this thought a lot, but I have always wondered how the world looks through someone else's eyes. How they interpret colors and shapes and textures. Color to me would look completely different to another person, and there is not possible way for me to even try and comprehend what the colors look like to them. Same things with sounds and music! What the a-ef?!?!

That is all...

He did not just waste ten seconds of my life!

On my way home yesterday I got a text from Skylar that I am so glad that I got. He asked me if I wanted to go to the Relient K concert in Green Bay that night. All I asked was when and how much. After a roller coaster of me not being able to go and being able to, he finally was able to pick me up! As we walked in Skylar was really regretting wearing a V-neck tee... ha ha! Too many little scene kids there! Quietdrive played first and they actually weren't that bad. They performed well. Owl City really isn't my thing and I don't want to go on bashing people, but frankly it was not exciting. Relient K was freaking awesome of course, but that is just a DUH! They are such normal guys. They played the Office Theme, the Five-Dollar Footlong Song and CAKE'S THE DISTANCE! It was so cool! Matt Thiessen was even playing the trumpet! Who knew he could? When they finally came out for their encore they played Deathbed!!! Which no one expected, but secretly hoped they would, since it is an 11 minute long song. Afterwards we waited around for a little while, hoping to see the guys of course, and things were starting to look a little hopeless. Greg had to go, which was sad because about two minutes after he left Skylar and I went around to the back where the tour bus was. After waiting for only about 10 minutes Jon Schneck the lead guitarist came out and took pictures and signed stuff, which was cool. Then Matt Thiessen came out! Skylar looked at me with the best idea in the world. We walked up to Matt and we asked to sing a TENOR CHORD with him! Then he asked, "How many notes?" After a first attempt, which I botched because I was so excited, we sang a beautiful chord with him! WE SANG WITH MATT THIESSEN! The I continued to take pictures of him while he was signing other people's things and then I got my ticket signed for Greg and took my picture with him! I think the most embarassing part of this whole thing was after I took me picture with him I told him that I almost pooped my pants when they played Cake. He said that it would have been pretty cool if there was some sort of bowel earthquake during that song! After having one last laugh with him my night was complete! I will definitely try to get the video of us singing up here!

Okay I definitely wrote too much! Sorry... :P

I will try and keep the posts more interesting sounding and shorter. I am just so pumped right now I can't stop typing!
