I saw Relient K AGAIN yesterday! ha ha! Skylar, Natalie and I went down to Summerfest just in time to see them! The set list was basically the same as in Green Bay except just shorter. They took out two of the three of their new upcoming songs out of the list and a few others. They ended with Deathbed again! ha ha! Some chick in front of us was pissed because it was so long. Most of the people watching Relient K were the kids waiting all day for Red Jumpsuit Apparatus to play after them. We got shoved in a corner sort of near the stage all the way to stage left. We could see half of the drum set, the bass and the piano, but that was about it.
After the show we followed the fence and Relient K's tour bus happened to be the one on the end where we wouldn't get in trouble for standing there and whatever holy freaking run on sentence! We were the only people standing back there which was pretty sweet. First Jon Schneck came out, like last time and since we were alone we got to talk with him for a good 10 or 15 minutes! We just kind of talked about life and how we saw them six days prior. We shook his hand and then he left. After 10 more mintues Matt Hoopes came out and none of us had met him yet. We talked with him for about 10 minutes too! He was really pumped about how many bike trails and bike lanes there were in Wisconsin! He also has friends that live in Cedarburg so maybe if I am ever down there when he is there we can go biking sometime! Alas that conversation ended and he left as well. We also saw the drummer (not sure of his name, he is newer to the band) and John the bassist but they were just passing by to go see some bands play! After seeing Matt Thiessen get in and out of the bus like 4 times, each time promising he would be back, he finally came back to talk with us! He actually came on the other side of the fence and we talked about the shows and the recording studio and stuff! He said that he liked the Green Bay show better by far! Which makes sense because a lot of the crowd wasn't really into it because they were there to see Red Jumpsuit Apparatus... which is a shame. He did remember us from the last show, which was pretty cool. I also got to show him my harmonica necklace this time and he liked it! He even asked what key it was in! ha ha! We recorded another chord and this time Matt dedicated it to Greg! However it is very hard to hear with the NOISE of Red Jumpsuit Apparatus behind us. I will try and enhance the audio in it a little so you can hear it better before I upload!
